MY STORY
Creativity and variety have always been important to me. Growing up, I knew I wanted a career where I could solve problems in innovative ways.
In 2020, encouraged by my father, I started a bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, which suited me well. I excel in combining design with strategy to create simple solutions for complex problems. As a UX Designer at Flytoget, I focus on improving digital experiences, but I also like to explore new ideas through business projects.
Beyond design, I have a passion for interactive experiences, languages, and discovering new ways technology can improve daily life. When I’m not working, I’m likely crocheting, practicing Italian, or finding an alternate way to cook a recipe.
Experience
CONSULTANT
Since 2020, I have worked with start-ups to introduce UX methods and principles early. I later joined Abler Nordic As, a larger company, where I explored new areas and gained experience with audiences beyond Norway.
FACILITATOR
In school projects, this role ensures deadlines are met, plans meetings with agendas, and takes notes afterward. Preparing methods for sprints, brainstorms, and workshops were also common tasks.
PROJECT MANAGER
At TopDog, I managed a diverse team of psychologists and web developers. During the collaboration with the Øya festival, I oversaw 50 young people by teaching them how to manage their first jobs.
INTERACTION-, UX- & UI DESIGNER
In my business collaborations, I have often been the sole expert, introducing methods and goals for a user-friendly product. My participation in various projects allowed me to test more suitable methods.
What People Are Saying
“Maria is one of the most hardworking and creative people I have worked with. She is reliable, innovative, and thorough in all phases of her work, and I greatly appreciate her dedication and positive attitude.”
— Thomas Skattum (Join Gaybar)
“Heyra Norway AS is working on the development of a rental platform for hunting and fishing. In connection with the launch of the company's first public version, we have collaborated with students at NTNU Gjøvik. Maria Sæther has played a leading role in this work, which has included everything from conducting market research to developing UX design.
Sæther has been a key contributor in establishing the right design expression (color choices, etc.), and she has also provided valuable input on how the company should present and communicate its message to external investors and partners.
Sæther works quickly and efficiently – solving problems as they arise. We give our highest recommendations.”
